Aston Martin Concept

In the mid-90s Kip Ewing created his vision of a mid-engined Aston Martin supercar. This design exercise was predicated on Kip’s experience as a former engineer at Aston Martin, and was designed in consideration of the resources and constraints they then operated under. The design incorporates an aluminum extruded space frame with composite shear panels. The design incorporates the 5.4 litre Aston Martin twin-cam V8. Suspension was a development of the C4 Corvette, utilizing this car’s knuckles and forged control arms. The design of this car served as good practice towards solving many similar challenges on the Ford GT.
